Your bankruptcy will be reported to the appropriate credit bureaus, and will also appear on your credit report for ten years - so if any of your friends and family have access to your credit report for any reason (with your permission), they can find out that way.

Many men and women feel bankruptcy is an extremely personal and private thing, and understandably, don't want their personal finances announced to the world. So it is very likely that only your friends or family that you confide in will ever know you have done it.
